Landscape Consultation
Cost: $35 per hour.
This is the first step in the design process and can be used to discuss new concepts or problem areas in your yard. During this first step, we will explore your short term and long term goals and whether you would like to add new features or redo some areas in your yard. I will assess your landscaping with you and discuss your ideas. If you have plants that are not doing well or look sick I will examine them and provide a diagnosis. After this first session, you have two options, you may choose a consultation report detailing our discussion and findings, or you may choose to have a design done then I will continue on and incorporate my notes into the design.
Landscape Design
Base Rate : $125.
After a landscape consultation, I will take the ideas and notes that I have taken and put them into a 11"x17" color design. I recommend having a design done for three reasons, first, it helps you visualize and confirm what it is you want done to your yard. Second, it is extremely helpful to whoever is installing your landscape and third, it can be a reference that records your ideas so you can implement them when time and money become available. Along with the design, I will prepare a plant and hardscape list. Price may increase depending on scope of project, lack of building specs and additional research required for the job. These will be discussed at the consultation.
Interior Landscape Design
Base rate: $50.
Whether for a home or an office, adding plants can give rooms an added dimension. A consultation will first take place to view the rooms that need plants. A design will then be drawn up specifying plants, containers and maintenance. The rate increases depending on size, and scope of project.
Floral Design
Rates depend on amount of time and flowers used.
Wedding Flowers,
Funeral Flowers,
Corsages and Boutonnières,
Special Occasion Flowers.
This design was done for an area in the front yard. The client wanted an English garden theme, but needed help organizing and maintaining a tailored planting area.
I added the stone walking path to define distinct zones where plantings have a limited space to grow in. It also allows for the client to have easier access for gardening and to better enjoy the space.
These next two drawings are for a back yard area that is over looking a large pond. There is a very steep slope from the back porch to the lawn. This was covered in stone rick rack. The clients wanted to add some visual interest keeping with a beach theme.
